Global Ripening is the brainchild of company President and CVO Jim Still, the inventor of the current standards in pressurized ripening. He pioneered the Tarp-Free design, as well as sealing individual pallets with bulb gaskets, use of dual-zone controls, ultrasonic humidifiers, structural steel pallet racking, and many other features.

Upon retiring in 1997, Jim traveled the world, in search of new techniques and tools for better ripening. Taking the best of all that he had seen, and combining it in new ways never imagined before, he was able to create the all-new Global Ripening room design.
